Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister and a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started in the form of an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA professional career back in the year 2002 with an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won this fight via TKO at the end of round two and her two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and came back against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina received an UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via a split decision. Antonina returned to the ring after her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record during her subsequent three matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
